Control4 has developed its product to create an easy and cost effective automation system. The basic set up consists of a HC300 with included Infrared eyes and a two way remote control that is capable of controlling all the functions programmed into the unit.
The main part of any Control4 setup is the quality of the home network as all the peripherals are powered and rely on CAT5 cable, except the lighting and relay control which uses a Zigbee wireless network.
The control function you can get from the one HC300 box is huge and it can be added to and reprogrammed whenever required.
Control4 also give the option of access from the internet via an easy to install and use licence which creates an account that deals with the IP address issues and gives you full control over your home from anywhere in the world.
